What are your plans for Mother’s Day?

I wonder what your plans are for Mother’s Day?  I know some had planned to be at Disney celebrating with their Mom’s or as the Mom for Mother’s Day.  Sadly, these plans would have changed at this time.  Maybe you are rescheduling for later in the year or maybe looking to wait to next year.  Their are several different options out there about this. Please feel free to reach out to me for a free 30 minute consultation

I am thinking the overly optimistic people, currently like me, are hoping and dreaming of the possible June 1 opening at Disney.  This leaves out may for sure, so no Mother’s Day.   We are planning the trip with dining reservations and fastpasses.  We have made the reservations in hopes of all hopes that it will open.  The less optimistic are looking to be there for July.  They want to celebrate July 4th with thousands of other people at the happiest place on earth.  More realistic people are looking to be there in August with their families.  Going a bit farther forward with an opening of September.  Of course, definitely by October 1!!

Whichever is your belief, hope or dream, it will be different in many ways when it does open back up.  Potentially crowds could be lower for those that are still concerned about the virus OR it could be extra busy because so much time had lapsed since they were open. Their will also be new procedures in place when they open which MAY include having your temperature taken prior to entering the park.  Who knows what else they may do to stop the spread of the virus and keep their guests safe.

I am sure you will continue to see the hand sanitizers throughout the parks as well as the portable sinks to wash your hands with.  Any way you look at it, the Disney we know will be different, we will all be different. I am hoping to see good changes in people like more patience with cast members and other guests.  People will take more time to take in all the small details that they so often miss while visiting.

So, what are your plans for Mother’s Day with all this physical (social) distancing??
