Traveling to Disney

TRAVELING TO DISNEY is a different kind of challenge.  You have many of the same things to do BUT you also have some extra that are VERY important.

PICK YOUR DATES- The first thing to do is to pick your dates on when you want to travel.  Be aware of what times are busier than others (like holidays and long weekends).  Busier times have higher prices on everything from airfares to accommodations. Make sure to know what your budget is and what it will allow for.

PICK YOUR ACCCOMMODATIONS- I recommend staying on site at a Disney Resort.  This gives you better access for park Passes and dining reservations.  The Orlando area has MANY chokies for you to choose from like timeshares, other resorts, hotels, home rentals and Airbnb.  If staying off site make sure to factor in transportation and/or rental car for you budget.

CHOOSE YOUR TRANSPORTATION- Most people traveling to Disney are flying there.  Make sure if you choose to stay at a Disney Resort that you set up your Magical Express reservation in advance.  this will get you from the airport to your Disney Resort with the greatest of ease for no additional cost.

BUY YOUR PARK TICKETS-  Make sure that you purchase the best ticket choices for your travel group.  It’s important to link tickets to your My Disney Experience account .  You will be needing to have your tickets purchased and linked to get your Park Passes.  You must have BOTH-Park tickets and park Passes in order to enter any of the four parks.

PARK PASSES- Disney is limiting the number of people in each park for safety purposes.  You will be needing to get your Park Pass as soon as you can for best choices.  I also recommend checking the availability calendar BEFORE buying your tickets to make sure you can go where you want.

DINING RESERVATIONS- Making dining reservations occur at 60 days, not the former 180 days.  Booking early is very important as dining is not at full capacity so seating is limited.  Also, character meals are exceptionally limited and non-touch.  Be prepared especially if you have little ones.
