Ever wonder how I start my Disney day? Here is my answer for you.
Firstly, it matters where I am staying. If on site what resort or if off site how far away am I? Also, what park am I going to? You need to look at all these. For this article purposes we are going to go on the assumption that I am staying on site at either Pop Century or Art of Animation (I love the skyliner!).
1-Set alarm for about 30 minutes prior to when I want to leave the room. This allows for showering and dressing to hit the parks. I usually put my clothes out the night before and have my bag prepped to leave in the morning. Make sure to have cellphone, wallet and magic band.
2-Make sure to purchase Genie+ by 655 AM. At 7 AM selecting first ride for Genie+, Virtual queue (if applicable) and Individual Lightning Lane purchase (if applicable)
3-If taking the skyliner I usually leave room 45-60 minutes prior to early entry of park opening. When taking the buses it is usually 60-75 minutes prior. I used to be able to leave later for skyliner but more and more people are enjoying that option. I try to bring a bottle of water with me when I leave the room as its great to start the day hydrated.
4-Arriving at the park about 30 minutes prior to early entry is Very helpful. Many resort guests are hoping to start the day early as well. This gets you on to the most popular rides first thing in the morning with minimal waits.
5-Make sure to have one person in your group ready with the magic band as they scan them to make sure you are eligible to be in the park early. The non-resort guests will be standing in a different location. Make sure to be where you need to be.
6-Having the right game plan to start your day and the first 3 rides you are planning to hit will start your day off with a smile instead of a frown. Planning is very important!!
Let’s plan to have fun! We can plan for you to have fun and make magical memories!!
