We all could use something to look forward to, why not a trip someplace? It is said that when people have something to look forward to, like a vacation, it makes them happier. I happen to agree with this as it works for me. Here is an article from National Geographic that helps to explain why. Here is another one from Good News Network for you to read to get in the right state of mind.
Let’s put together a plan for a vacation for you. 1-Pick the date. When is the best time for you to travel? What do you want to do? Who will be in your travel party? What reservations do you need to make? Should you be working with a Travel Agent? 2-Where do you want to travel to? Are you thinking car drive away, or a plane or even a train? Will you go out of country and need a passport? What do you need to pre-arrange? What are you looking to do while you are there?
3-Do you have a budget? If yes, what is your budget? What additional expenses could you have? 4-What kind of vacation do you want? Are you looking to relax, say maybe lay on the beach? Are you planning to see the area you are traveling to? Is culture and museums your interest? Are you looking for an active vacation with things to do? 5-Put it on the calendar! I really mean this. Commit to planning and taking your vacation. You work hard so you should play hard.
I recommend researching where you are planning to travel to. The reasons include, but not limited to, you may find something you would love to do (or not love to do). Find a hidden secret restaurant or shop or museum to see. Maybe exploring is more your style, that’s ok too. As you hear in Disney’s UP, “adventure is out there”! Now go find yours and have something to forward to!
