Saving for Disney

It can be expensive to go to Disney and seemingly daunting at times about how to pay for it.

Here are a couple of ways to save for your trip.

The first is using the 52 week challenge, see this link:http://www.thesimpledollar.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/52weekmoneychallenge.jpg , this will give you close to $1400 at end of year.  This is especially helpful if you have a couple years prior to going. I have personally used this and find it very helpful.  Here is a quick tip , start backwards.  By this I mean start with the $52 week and then $51, and so forth.  The reason is you are putting less money in as you get closer to the trip.

Another way is to use a Disney vacation account.  Use this link to get more specifics: https://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com/?int_cmp=INS-intWDWtoDVA-DisneyVacaAccount/, you can save for up to 5 years before taking your trip.  This link will help you estimate how much you need per week/per month, etc.

I hope this helps you out.  Please feel free to comment or add any other savings methods you have used for your vacation.  Thank you.
