Last month I took an incredible journey on Royal Caribbean Cruise on the Harmony of the Seas. To say it has been some time since I traveled is being kind. Last time I cruised the ship had 10 decks and it was over 20 years ago. Harmony of the Seas has 17 decks and is huge!!
Things I learned while on Harmony of the Seas:
-If you can afford to get suite level, DO! By having a junior suite-see this as more square footage-you get several perks. This includes special entry line to get onto ship and another special line to get through boarding with required proof (passport, negative covid tests and vaccination cards). This made boarding and getting to room so much quicker.
-Make sure to set up and submit everything required for cruising to the Royal Caribbean App. This helped us get off ship quickly with the facial recognition linked back to passport uploaded. Have the app downloaded BEFORE getting onto ship. With that being said, log off before boarding then log back on once onto ship and ship’s Wi-Fi. I recommend getting the ship Wi-Fi especially if you have several days at sea.
-Make dining reservations early for the various dining options on ship outside of main dining rooms. Main dining rooms have either early (5 PM) or late (730 PM) dining or you can do anytime dining but will probably only get late dining options. Try the different dining options aboard the ship for unique experiences and options. NOTE: As soon as on ship make sure to book your entertainment to get earlier times for shows. Great shows to choose from!
-Check the daily calendars for things to do like “trivia” and “Name that tune”. We spent much time enjoying and having fun with these and I highly recommend it. Don’t forget to ride the carousel, play miniature golf, zip line or swim in your free time.
Many are cautious of cruising at this time and I totally understand. When you are ready to go on a Royal Caribbean Cruise reach out to me for all of your cruise questions.
