The rides in Epcot are different than those of Magic Kingdom. Their are 2 new rides coming to Disney, one this year (Ratatouille) and one in 2021 (Guardians of the Galaxy). Also, Epcot has a Tier system for the rides like Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. What this means is of the 3 fastpasses you get to pick to start only 1 can be from tier 1 the other 2 must be in tier 2.
The tier 1 rides are Soarin’, Test Track and Frozen. The tier 2 rides are Spaceship Earth (which is closing 5/26/20 for serious refurbishment) , Mission Space, Journey into the Imagination with Figment, Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival (movie), Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo and friends attraction, and Turtle talk with Crush (show).
Shows abound throughout World Showcase. Each country has it’s own entertainment from movies, to acrobats, to mimes to rides! You can get a times guide when you first enter the park for times or use your My Disney Experience App to see show times. Here is another article to help you with your Disney planning. The rides at Epcot are wonderful but don’t forget about the shows or the numerous dining options. Make sure to check out where you want to get snacks as teh choices are vast and plentiful.
I also want to mention that Epcot has the most dining choices out of all the 4 parks. Each country has 1 or 2 table service options and 1-2 quick service options for you to pick from. I highly recommend making your dining reservations at 180 days out to get the best choices and times for your travel party. Eating is part of the whole Disney experience!!
Be prepared to do a LOT of walking while at Epcot. The distance around the World Showcase is 1.3 miles. I do not know if I have ever gone just one time around without backtracking for something or other. Be prepared to walk and get your steps in for the day. Keep this in mind for your little ones especially. Now go explore the world!!
