Planning a trip to Disney this summer?

Planning a trip to Disney this summer? Make sure to plan for some serious heat and humidity.  Make sure to keep yourself hydrated and take time to get out of the sun for awhile.

Last summer I had 2 trips to Disney and I found out what it meant to be in Florida in the summer.  HOT, Hot and Hot and did I also mention Humid, humid, Humid.

You can still have a great time at Disney, even with the hot and humidity.  You have to plan your days out to rest, get out of the sun or maybe go back to the pool for awhile.  It is important to have a good game plan.  This is especially important when traveling with small children or older adults.

Drinking enough water means heading to the restrooms every hour.  If you aren’t then drink more.  I also suggest using some kind of electrolytes.  It can be in a beverage or chews or whatever method works for you.  Sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen should be with your through it all.

A mister or fan can also be very helpful.  I recommend testing various tools out before getting to Florida.  Find out what works best for you.

The August 2019 newsletter was all about my trip and the different tools I used.  If you would like it go to the home page and sign up for it then send me a quick email (colleen@awalkintheparkwithcolleen.net) requesting a copy of that newsletter. I am happy to send it to you.

Have fun and keep cool!
