Let’s talk about the My Disney Experience Account and App. This is your lifeline while planning a Disney vacation and while in the parks. Planning your trip and maximizing your time in the park is with the My Disney Experience App.
1-Set up your My Disney Experience Account.
-I find this easiest to do on a laptop, desk top or iPad but can be done on the phone.
-KEY INFO If you have a Disney+ account the email and password will be the same.
-Make sure to include your entire travel party, credit card, cell phone and email address.
-It is recommended to select a different avatar for each person.
2-Download the My Disney Experience App to your phone
-This is where you will find all your information for and during your Disney vacation
-Go in and check out the app BEFORE Disney including how to find the information you need like Genie+, Individual Lightning Lanes, mobile ordering, etc.
3-Link resorts and tickets to your account as soon as you get them
-Select and make your park pass reservations
-See what your dining reservation date is (60 days out from day of arrival)
-Make dining reservations through the My Disney experience Account
4-Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes on the app
-You can only make Genie+ and individual lightning Lane reservations on the phone app!!!
-Check availability times for rides for Genie+ and what is available for individual Lightning Lanes
5-What you will see and use while in the parks with you Disney App
-Wait times, Genie+ availability and reservation, individual lightning lanes and reservations
-Place your mobile orders for quick service restaurants and kiosks
-Know your daily plans and reservations
-See where characters are, restrooms, photopass photographers and so much more
-Treat yourself to your photopass pictures
6-You cannot over educate on using this app prior to going into the parks
-Research, research, research
