MARCH NEWSLETTER

MDE-My Disney Experience, your “must” have for Disney planning!! What is it? What does it do?  It is the first step of your Disney vacation planning.  Here is the link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/
-Hit create account.  You will need to enter email address (then confirm) and set up password (then confirm).

-Name and address.  You will need to select 2 security questions.

-I recommend to receive updates and special offers (you can change at any time).

-Agree to terms and conditions

-Add everyone in your party (Name, date of birth, don’t forget to pick their avatar).

-Make sure to input your cell phone number and add credit card (this will be needed for a couple things)

1- Dining reservations

2- If on site resort reservation you will need for room reservation

3- Can be used to purchase tickets and/or Memory Maker

4- If staying on site, used to charge to room
-Link tickets and magic bands (if not staying on site), if staying on site then tickets and magic bands will automatically link.

-IF you buy a new magic band in the parks they will link it to your tickets (account).  It does NOT deactivate your “old” one.  You can deactivate your old one if you want.

-You will need to link your reservations for your Disney resort to your account, unless set up at time of booking.
-You will have all this information in your MDE: (MUST BE LOGGED IN TO SEE) *Disney dining reservations *Disney Resort reservations, if applicable *Information for your travel party (names, DOB) *Memory Maker Information and access *Ticket Information *Fastpass reservations, can also be changed on phone

-You want to have the MDE app on your phone.

It has some very helpful in parks information you can use in parks like: (You do not need to be logged in to see this information)       *Wait times for rides               *Events             *Tours               *Spas             *Guest Services           *Hotels       *Nearest rest rooms (IMPORTANT for traveling with kids)           *Meet and greets for characters         *Directions around Disney World, if you are driving           *Maps of parks       *Park Hours            *Photopass photographer locations           *Recreation options             *Shops       *Attractions descriptions, including height restrictions           *Dining options and menus (including prices)

As you can see your phone, MDE App has SO much great information.  It will save you extra walking and wasting of time.  With that being said, don’t hesitate to ask a cast member your questions.  They are VERY helpful!!  I also recommend an extra charger for your phone.  They do have charging stations in the parks and battery packs you can buy and exchange throughout the day, for a fee.

BEFORE YOU GO- make sure to get comfortable with the app and how to use it.  Learn how to find the information you will need in the parks.  Also, log in and see how to change/cancel dining reservations or Fastpass reservations (if dining reservations are not cancelled the day before then there is a $10/per person cancellation fee that will be charged to your credit card-some special reservations it is 2 days).  BE CAREFUL!! Do not accidentally delete when doing this.

You can view your Photopass pictures shortly after they are taken (Must be logged in, also good to make sure your pictures are all there).   If you have a problem, then you can stop by the Photopass in guest relations or call 407-560-4300.  It is important to be comfortable with the MDE app PRIOR to being in the parks.  FYI-Free WIFI in the Disney Parks and resorts.

I hope this helps you with your planning and trip to Disney.  Part of my services include teaching you how to use this app to your best advantage.
