Information provided to resort guests at Disney on Thursday later afternoon. This gave us bonus time in the parks. This was great for resort guests but not so much for off site guests.
Information provided to resort guests makes a big difference. The bonus time that Disney gave to resort guest were 2 full hours of early entry into any of the 4 theme parks. I loved having this option and made good use of it. I also felt that more resort guests took advantage of the 2 hour early entry than those who take advantage of the standard 30 minutes. This would be due to the stuck in our room for 2 day factor, lol. People were ready to be out and about but more so, into the Disney theme parks. Lines were longer than anticipated but much better than later in the day.
Guests who acted quickly were able to change the Thursday night Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party tickets for Friday’s Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween party. I chose not to do the exchange as I finally, had reservations for Storybook Dining at Wilderness Lodge. For those that do not know, this is a dining experience with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy and the Evil Queen. It was amazing!! I would definitely recommend it. Sadly, it is very difficult to get dining reservations for.
My last comments about traveling to Disney during hurricane season (6/1-11/30) is:
1-Get travel insurance/protection
2-Be flexible if you can about moving dates (come in early or arrive later)
3-Be prepared to be in your room for a couple days if needed
4-Keep an eye on the weather before travel and during travel
5-If you receive an email from your airline about your flights, respond asap (many other people are getting the same one)
I hope this helps you when thinking about travel to Disney (or anywhere else) during hurricane season. Also, if like me you live in the North, think about snow season and keep this information in mind. Mostly, travel safely and have fun! It is important to know that information provided to resort guests at Disney is very helpful.
I hope you consider utilizing my services for your Disney planning so your family has a magical time at Disney. This could include travel agent services and/or my in park services (for a fee) to create that magical vacation at Disney for you! Disney has a policy in place for rescheduling your vacation.
