I had a great trip to Disney this March!! I stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. They are only running the sky liner to and from Epcot and Hollywood Studios UNLESS it is storming then it’s buses. The lines do seem long but move very quickly. That being said you definitely need to allow extra time for transportation (unless you have your own car but that is a different story and wait). Each sky liner is for one group only and on the buses the seating is limited and there are dividers up. No standing on the buses or crowded buses. I did find the buses (for when we went to Magic Kingdom) did come along very regularly but still long lines. Just need to plan for this extra time required, nice not crowding on the buses.
When you get to the parks it is temperature checks, masks and social distancing. More people are coming back so the most popular lines can get lines. Remember no fastpasses currently and no return date listed. Characters are out but on the second level, in a cavalcade or at a social distance from you. Personally, I love the cavalcades! Lots of plexiglass. Dining is good and only at about 50% so reservations can be challenging. Also, quick/counter service is all completed using the My Disney Experience App on your phone as they are also limited on seating for social distancing. I prefer the table service to not have to worry about finding a seat.
No character meet and greets or fireworks. I am currently ok with no meet and greets but really miss no fireworks to end my days in the parks. I understand that it draws crowds. There are rumors about fireworks coming back in October, we will see.
I still enjoy my time at Disney very much. Yet, if you don’t want to wear masks, if character meals & meet & greets are a must , as well as fireworks and live action shows then I would wait until mid to late 2022. Just need to see what changes Disney is making and how quickly. With that being said the Park Passes are KEY to being in the parks. They need to be gotten well in advance of travel. Disney is showing the use of them through January 2023. It is really about being prepared.
Let’s talk and get your prepared for a great time at Disney!! I had a great trip to Disney this March and you can too!!
