Best way to see the National Parks

What is the best way to see the National Parks in the United States?  I would recommend seeing them by train.  Yes, train.

Amtrak has great options and choices for visiting the National Parks.  The top parks to see are Grand CanyonYosemite and Glacier National Parks.  The tours start out of Chicago but Amtrak will work with you for travel from ANY of their many stations to get you there.  You can leave the driving to Amtrak and just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.

It is recommended that you go the extra yard and get a sleeper car.  This way you can also enjoy the view while in your own room and not wearing a mask. You will be required to wear a mask outside of your room.  Also, you get many perks for having a sleeping compartment like free dining (while on the train), lounge access and your room attendant to name a few.  Amtrak also has accessible rooms for those that need them.  Enjoy different levels of comfort from roomette to a family bedroom, you will love the space!!  Roomettes share bathroom and shower facilities with those in their car while bedrooms and suites have their own bathroom with shower.  Make sure to choose what is best for you and your travel party.

Looking for other ideas on where to go by rail?  I would love to talk with you, call 518-265-1421 or email me at colleen@awalkintheparkwithcolleen.net  I would love to see what your interests are and where you would like to go. Perhaps Alaska, Washington DC or New Orleans.  So many places to see and so little time to see it in.

Train travel is another great way to see Europe!  Or try the Via Rail in Canada.  You can even take the train to Florida and why not try the auto train from Lorton VA to Sanford FL??  Get to Florida overnight without putting nay miles on your vehicle but having your vehicle to use while you are there. The choices go on and on!!
