I believe you planned, saved and are about to embark on your dream vacation to Disney! With all of the excitement, it’s important to remember to pace yourself!   Yes, you are probably spending a lot of money to go to Disney and you want to make the most of your time there, BUT I don’t want you to accidently over-exert yourself and end up tired, miserable and irritable. What I suggest is knowing when to push, how to pace yourself and understanding the importance of resting.    Yes, rope drops are important, very important. A Rope drop is when you plan to be at the park at opening, or as I suggest to my clients, 30 minutes prior to posted opening time. Not everyone is a morning person, myself included.    It is also recommended that you have a sleep-in day.  I usually plan for 3 days of early days then a sleep-in day.  Your sleep-in day can be not doing any parks, not going into a park early, hanging at the resort, visiting Disney Springs and so many other choices.  I look forward to the sleep-in days after a couple long days in the parks.  It is my chance to recharge.
When I get in the parks the first hour or two I am moving at a pretty good clip.  Those first couple hours probably have the “smallest” number of people in the parks. I am NOT saying it is quiet but not crazy busy – think bell curve.
After the first couple hours I start using my fastpasses, enjoy a relaxing lunch and enjoy just looking at all the details or trying to find a hidden Mickey.  After lunch I may go on the indoor rides that last a bit longer and are sit down.  These are rides I like but are rides I can sit down and enjoy while staying cool. Also, remember after you use the first three fastpasses you can start to pick more.
Try to plan for a relaxing night!  This can mean using fastpasses to avoid waiting in lines.  It can be watching the nighttime entertainment and fireworks or strolling through the stores.  Maybe it means a nice dinner and relaxing in your room or by the pool at your resort.  Perhaps, it’s seeing a goodnight kiss at Magic Kingdom.
I hope this helps you with your planning and trip to Disney. Included in my services are teaching you how to use this app to your best advantage. Also, planning your days IN the parks.
