Are you ready for Galaxy’s Edge at Disney?? It opened on 5/31/19 at Disneyland and is opening on 8/29/19 at Disneyworld. From everything I have read it is amazing!! Reservations are required for Disneyland from 5/31/19 to 6/23/19, only available if you are staying on site at a Disney Resort. Let’s see if they do this for DisneyWorld.
It is about making your own light saber https://disneyland.disney.go.com/shops/disneyland/savis-workshop-handbuilt-lightsabers/
Creating your own droid https://disneyland.disney.go.com/shops/disneyland/droid-depot/
Dining and drinking at Oga’s Cantina, Docking Bay 7, Milk Stand Ronto’s Roasters and Kat Saka’s Kettle.
The merchandise is like nothing we have seen before and can only find in the Galaxy’s Edge. Look into Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities and Black Spire outfitters to name a few.
But really is just incredible is how you are completely in another world! So much detail and precision as they kept to the land. You won’t find the store fronts listed in English, it is in the language of the planet, Batuuese. They say “Bright Suns” instead of hello. Good bye is “till the spires”.
Fastpasses will not be available at the initial opening for both Disneyland and Disneyworld. Be prepared to wait and also to possibly be turned away due to land being at capacity (remember it is for your safety).
Anticipate very heavy crowds and everyone wanting to be there first. Also, you may not be able to see it all. I believe even if you cannot get on the rides you can totally enjoy being in Galaxy’s Edge, even if you are not a Star Wars Fan. The Galaxy’s Edge is all around you and you are part of it. Take time to just walk around and enjoy.
Have a great time and get ready to explore! Please feel free to reach out to me with any other questions.
