Here is my full day at Galaxy’s Edge and Hollywood Studios looked like. Keep in mind that with the Rise of the Resistance and early opening it includes EARLY mornings. How would you want to plan a full day at Galaxy’s Edge and Hollywood Studios??
GETTING THROUGH SECURITY-
It is important to arrive early and get through security. Plans were made so we arrived early at the park and were through security by 545 AM for a 7 AM opening and up to the ticket windows. Do not confuse this with the scanning in entrance. As usual their were some nice guests nearby to visit with and talk to about Star Wars and Galaxy’s Edge. More importantly, about The Rise of the Resistance ride.
GETTING YOUR BOARDING PASS FOR RISE OF THE RESISTANCE
At 625 AM we were allowed to scan in with the crowd moved to Galaxy’s Edge Land entrance. We were not allowed in the land but only near it. My party made it to the entrance to Star Tours Store where we were waiting for the 7 AM opening. Again, we started talking to the guests around us having a wonderful visit while waiting in anticipation of the ride. My clients enjoy using my services. I shared the information I had received about getting a boarding pass.
1-Use your data not the Disney WiFi as so many people are on it
2-Do not keep that app open and make sure it is refreshed just before the opening time
3-As soon as it hits the official park opening time, tap the app on your phone, select your group (yes, everyone has to be scanned in to be in your group), then hit get boarding pass. This is the magic moment! I was fortunate to get boarding group 33.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
My nephew wandered into Docking Bay 7 for breakfast where the amazing Chef Chappie assisted us dealing with the allergy issue of my nephew!!! Next we rode the Millennium Falcon. Then we got the notification around 840 AM for the Rise of the Resistance. The ride is separated into different sections and experiences. Get up early to see this!!
Toy Story Land was a first time for him as was riding Toy Story Mania. Taking the opportunity to watch the Star Wars Show in front of the Chinese Theater was fun. Next was build your own light saber. It is an amazing experience and would recommend it. TIP: You can have 1 guest with every light saber builder. At my nephew’s request we were off to lunch at Mama Melrose. After lunch we went to Oga’s Cantina, which is a MUST DO! make sure to make a reservations early for this.
Off to our fastpass with the Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular. Going back to ride Toy Story mania with our fastpass for the second time. Disney magic showed itself as we were given the opportunity to ride twice without getting off.
Dinner was at the Sci Fi Drive In. I wish I could say good things but sadly, not. We were then off to see The Muppets which was wonderful as always.
DINNER AND A SHOW
Strolling through the parks to shop and see what we wanted before going to Fantasmic. By having the dinner package for Fantasmic so we enjoyed preferred seating which is great!!
